Replacing tapes

Ten tapes (archive numbers SWN050 through SWN059) have been written in the local data center and are to be sent to the remote data center. The tapes are at a manually operated location. The tapes are exported:

//export-volume volume=*interval(from=swn050,to=swn059),exp-addr='remote Data Center'

As soon as the tapes have been returned from the remote data center, they are imported:

//import-volume volume=*interval(from=swn050,to=swn059)

If the tapes are assigned to a real archive system, the IMPORT-VOLUME statement is executed implicitly when the tapes are added to the archive system.
