Returning tapes

Tapes which have been exported or sent to another location can be returned to the archive system as follows:

The tapes are placed in an input/output unit. Then the archive system is instructed via the ROBAR statement IMPORT-ROBAR-VOLUME to fetch the tapes from the import/export unit.

The corresponding catalog entry in the MAREN catalog is updated as soon as the tape has been placed in the rack:

EXPORT-DATE	is cleared
INITIALIZATION	is set to YES
TEMPORARY-LOCATION	is supplied with the archive system’s location name
